Blogging for Barack

I perhaps unwisely stayed up late last night watching the live feeds from the Iowa caucuses...but really was fascinated by the process, and (almost) wish I lived in Iowa. ..or at least I wish NJ had a similar process--opportunity for real, personal, political dialogue between members of a community rather than a closed-curtain primary.

I recently read this Atlantic Monthly article (thanks, Bart!) that explains well my reasons for supporting Barack Obama for president...much better than I could ever explain them, which is why I'm not a columnist for the Atlantic Monthly. If there are any readers left on my blog (I'm pretty bad at updating, I know) please read this article. In it, there also are excerpts of some of Sen. Obama's speeches in which he articulates his faith journey, as well as a commentary on how his personal history has shaped who he is--and who he could be as a healing leader for our country.

And if you live in NJ, remember, you only have a few more days to register to vote if you want to be eligible for the primary!
